Impact Assessment of Cluster Front Line Demonstration (CFLDs) on Popularization of Toria Cultivation in Majuli District of Assam, India

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat conducted five hundred fifty Cluster Front Line Demonstrations (CFLDs) on toria covering 577 nos. of beneficiary in 32 villages at two development blocks Majuli district during 2015-16 to 2020-21. The study was the impact by KVK, socio-economic condition, technology adoption and gap, pattern improved among beneficiaries non-beneficiaries district. results showed that new technologies increased crop yield net income participating farmers from cultivation. average varieties under demonstration 1007 kg/ha as compared 674 practices. highest mean demonstrated 1057 lowest 956 kg/ha. gap (TG), extension (EG) index (TI) 1.93 q/ha, 3.32 q/ha 16.12 percent respectively which indicates need for improvement services educating dissemination technologies. Lower efficient performance technology. has reduced 17.67% 12.67% year 2016-17 2020-21 well feasibility location specific farmers’ field. gross return (Rs.32, 617.60/ha), (Rs. 16,636.00/ha), additional 10,764.52/ha) benefit cost ratio (1.97) were found higher practice.
